Provide clarity about the charity’s direction, it aims, objectives and priorities

  • Ensure the highest possibility of funding success

  • Ensure better targeting of funders

  • Focus the charity to allow it to attain its goals

  • Allow the charity to measure its success

  • Assist trustees to consider the risks associated with any proposed activities

  • Allow trustees to assess the bigger picture, managing risk, anticipating possible opportunities and threats to services

  • Provide a basis for recommendations for the future

  • *Include a formal name change to “Dementia Trust”, registered during 2025/26
