The Treasure Project awarded a grant to develop two online resources with Dr Edel Roddy and Dr Belinda Dewar.

the project started as soon as Covid restrictions allowed and was completed within six months. This was a collaboration of My Home Life International and Hearts and Minds.

This project used insights from the work of Elderflowers, to creatively awaken curiosity and hope around the conversations and connections that are possible with people living with advanced dementia.

They are a team of professional arts practitioners who are trained to work in healthcare environments with people living with dementia.

One of the resources is for the general public and the second for formal carers, family and friends of people living with advanced dementia. The resources use positively provocative examples from the Elderflowers’ work in detailing the ordinary and extra-ordinary connections that are possible, even in the later stages of dementia.

The resources use words and images designed to capture the hearts and minds of those engaging with the online resource, to invite people to think anew about the possibilities for connection.
